National Pump and Parts Pty Ltd (NPP) is a family-owned business based in the Pioneer Valley, Queensland. Founded by Shane and Tanya Reid, NPP leverages over 35 years of hands-on experience in the pumping, water and mining industries.
With deep roots in the Bowen Basin and Central Queensland, NPP was established to fill a critical gap in the market: providing urgent, knowledgeable and customer-focused solutions for pumping and water infrastructure.

Shane Reid is a senior pumping and water-infrastructure professional with more than 35 years of technical and operational experience across the mining, municipal, industrial and agricultural sectors. He is widely known, trusted and respected by industry peers, OEMs, manufacturers, suppliers and major mining operators for his depth of knowledge, practical capability and consistent delivery of reliable, fit-for-purpose pumping and dewatering solutions.
His career spans pumping system design, hydraulic assessment, equipment selection, HDPE pipeline design, dewatering methodologies and temporary works planning — across diesel and electric pump systems, large-scale mine dewatering installations, sewer bypass systems, wellpoint and shallow-well dewatering, and complex fluid-transfer applications. He has delivered projects in excess of 2,000 L/s and managed large-value projects for Tier 1 mining, construction, municipal and similar clients.
Shane also brings significant first-hand underground mining experience gained across operations in Australia and New Zealand, giving him a practical understanding of site constraints, operational risk and the performance requirements of pumping systems in challenging environments. Now working through his own company, he continues to support clients throughout Australia.
